A glorious Nasi Ambang (RM9.80), which is of Javanese origin, emerged on a banana leaf as I unwrapped it.
Rice soaked in the flavours of the beef rendang and sambal udang, and delicious side dishes – masak tempeh Jawa (tempeh with long beans in a coconut gravy), ikan bilis sambal, salted fish, kerisek and mee goreng.
