Several kingpins of human trafficking syndicates handed over to Malaysia by the Thai authorities can be charged under the Anti-Trafficking in Persons and Anti-Smuggling of Migrants Act 2007 or the Penal Code.
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Nancy Shukri said such a move would depend on the type of offence.
