The FBM KLCI gained 21.33 points or 1.35% to close at its intraday high as Asian shares rallied.
At 5pm, the KLCI settled at 1,601.70 points. In China, the Shanghai Composite Index climbed 5.4%, while Hong Kong's Hang Seng was up 3.6%. South Korea’s Kospi rose 0.73%, while Japan’s Nikkei 225 increased 1.08%.
