The Kedah government has suggested that the goods and services tax (GST) rate be reduced to 3% from its current 6%.
The GST was introduced in April this year.
Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir, who mooted this, said the 3% should be maintained for a few years until the people adjusted to the new tax regime.
