A weak 3.4 magnitude earthquake struck Ranau in Sabah at 7.49pm today.
The Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry said in a statement that the epicentre of the quake was at 6 degrees north and 116.6 degrees east, 11 kilometres northwest of Ranau.
The Meteorological Department is monitoring and will provide updates on the situation.
